ACIM Workbook lesson 333

Forgiveness ends the dream of conflict here.”

Conflict occurs when priorities clash. What other priority could you possibly have than peace, joy and freedom for all? And so it becomes a matter of knowing how to fully embrace that single priority.

The answer to that is forgiveness, for forgiving is the way to set the images in the world free from mistaken notions that seem to cause you to adopt conflicting priorities. When there is confusion and conflict, it is a sign that you have somehow gotten yourself in the middle of a misunderstanding. Since you may sense that something is wrong, you tend to hold on even more tightly to what you think you know. But the dissolution of the misunderstanding will only come when you let go of your rigid stance, when you set the images free from your notions about them, when you forgive.
