“I will not be afraid of love today.”
This looks like a nonsensical statement. How can a flower be afraid of the sun, or a dog be afraid of a bone? Yet, by engaging in the monkey mind’s destructive loops, you have put up an imaginary obstacle between you and your sustenance. You can sense something is amiss, but are not sure what. Next thing you know, this mental content has projected into an image in the world that testifies to something being amiss, scaring you, and you have no clue what to do about it.
Focus is the answer. Discard any and all restricting and negative thought patterns by looking at them and deciding against them. You starve them by focusing instead on the wellspring of the good and the lovely that is accessible within.
