“Christ’s is the vision I will use today.”
The lesson begins as follows:
Each day, each hour, every instant, I am choosing what I want to look upon, the sounds I want to hear, the witnesses to what I want to be the truth for me. (W-pII.271.1:1-3)
Usually people allow outside influences to determine what they look upon, forgetting they are at the helm themselves. They are not aware that the way it actually works is the other way around: whatever you choose to look upon and choose to hear, you will.
Today’s lesson is about focus: focus on the creative qualities that make up the thought pattern of the Christ. When you focus on Love, when you immerse yourself in it and let it do your speaking and doing for you, you will see and hear Love coming to meet you. When you focus on Peace, when you immerse yourself in it and let it do your speaking and doing for you, you will see and hear Peace coming to meet you.
Today I choose to look upon what Christ would have me see, to listen to God’s Voice, and seek the Witnesses to what is true in God’s creation. (W-pII.271.1:3-5)
