“This day I choose to spend in perfect peace.”
The last line of today’s lesson says about us, the Son:
The peace You gave him still is in his mind, and it is there I choose to spend today. (W-pII.255.2:2,3)
Note the switch between the use of the third person in the first clause (him, his) and the first person in the second clause (I).
Your worldly, everyday self chooses to spend a day in the Peace that abides inside, and thus your identification with the worldly, everyday self dissolves. Now the Peace that is part of the true nature of all of Source’s extensions becomes the quality of your interactions with the world. This is a testimony of the Unity of the Father (Source), the Holy Spirit (the place of Peace inside) and the Son (extension, Creation).
