ACIM Workbook lesson 248

Whatever suffers is not part of me.”

Goodness, loveliness, kindness, peace; they are wholly and truly what they are. Goodness with a tinge of nastiness is no longer all good. Loveliness with a touch of coarseness is no longer lovely, kindness mixed with hostility no longer kind, peace with strife no longer wholly peaceful.

What we are trying to say is that love is an abstract thought that will forever be purely lovely. Joy is an abstract thought that will forever be purely joyous. You are love and joy and you do not have anything less than love and joy in you.

Now, as to today’s lesson, it is about the quality of your true nature and about your laser focus on that quality. Allow your focus to drift away and your experience of who you are and who everyone else is gets muddled. And before you know it, you will have identified with all kinds of conditions that make you miserable. And that is simply due to misunderstanding who you are.
