“It can be but my gratitude I earn.”
Each and every situation you find yourself in is an invitation to remember your one and only function: to set it free of any notion you may have held about it. Only then will you experience the light in you meeting the light in it, shining away the darkness that was there before. This is the glorious potential of everything that you experience while focused in a given place at a given time. It takes some willingness to focus on that potential rather than on the “proof out there” that seems to justify your preconceptions.
Your willingness to let go of those preconceptions and to accept your function is all it takes to make room for the light to spread. An attitude of gratitude assists in embracing this willingness, for gratitude helps you remember who you are and what your function is.
