ACIM Workbook lesson 82

The two ideas for review today are:

63) “The light of the world brings peace to every mind through my forgiveness.”

64) “Let me not forget my function.”

To forgive means to let go of the images you see in the world, to set them free.

That means that you decide not to perpetuate your conclusions, assessments and opinions about images in the world by insisting on looking at the images the way you have been looking at them. Instead, you turn within and remember the Light that shines through your presence. It knows where to go. All it needs from you is the willingness to suspend judgment, even if only temporarily to begin with.

Your judgment after all is based on an interpretation which in turn is based on a perception. As we have seen, perceptions are based on the beliefs and convictions you hold, for the content of your mind projects itself onto the world to form images that reflect and thus confirm those notions.
