ACIM Workbook lesson 72

Holding grievances is an attack on God’s plan for salvation.

Let’s look at the various elements of this statement. A grievance is an expectation turned sour, a resentment. An attack is an attempt to harm. God’s plan for salvation is forgiveness, which is the release from attachment to the world’s images. Together:

Resentment hardens the hold the images of the world seem to have on you, cutting you off from release and freedom.

“What is salvation, Father? Tell me that I may understand”, the question of today’s lesson, when sincerely asked, creates an opening. It creates a space in which inner guidance is received and put to use, and will be understood.
