ACIM Workbook lesson 60

Five ideas for review:

46) “God is the Love in which I forgive.

47) “God is the strength in which I trust.

48) “There is nothing to fear.

49) “God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.

50) “I am sustained by the Love of God.

The world is a reflection of the content of your mind. The content of your mind is determined by your sense of identity, by who you think you are. When you believe that you are part of the world you will hold on to the world and will not let it go. And that mindset will reflect in tension, strife and struggle.

The images you see in the world owe you nothing, nor do you owe them anything, for they simply reflect what goes on inside the mind you share with everybody else. And for that same reason those images do not have any power over you unless you give them that power by thinking that they do.

That is the reason the Course stresses forgiveness. Forgiveness means: setting the images you see in the world free. It means removing the hooks that you have attached to the mirror, dropping the nets of distortion you have laid over it and that have caught and restricted you.

Your essence and the essence of God are the same. The knowledge that all of Creation is of that same essence, sets everything free in your experience and in the experience of those you contact. That is why you can say:

“God is the Love in which I forgive.

God is the strength in which I trust.

There is nothing to fear.

God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.

I am sustained by the Love of God.” (WB 60)

These statements are not wishes or even affirmations. These words capture, as well as words are able, your blessed beingness: Love and Light.
