Five ideas for review:
46) “God is the Love in which I forgive.“
47) “God is the strength in which I trust.“
48) “There is nothing to fear.“
49) “God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.“
50) “I am sustained by the Love of God.“
The world is a reflection of the content of your mind. The content of your mind is by and large determined by your sense of identity. When you believe that you are part of the world you will hold on to the world and will not let it go. And that mindset will reflect in tension, strife and struggle.
The images you see in the world owe you nothing for they simply reflect what goes on inside the mind you share with everybody else. And for that same reason those images do not have any power over you unless you give them that power by thinking that they do.
That is the reason the Course stresses forgiveness. Forgiveness means: setting the images you see in the world free. It means unhooking the hooks that you have nailed into the mirror, dropping the nets of distortion you have laid over it and that have caught and restricted you.
Your essence and the essence of God are the same. The knowledge that you and all of creation are of that same essence, sets everything free in your experience and in the experience of those with whom you come into contact. That is why you can say:
God is the Love in which I forgive.
God is the strength in which I trust.
There is nothing to fear.
God’s Voice speaks to me all through the day.
I am sustained by the Love of God.
These statements are not wishes nor even affirmations. These words capture your blessed beingness as love and light as well as words are able.
