ACIM Workbook lesson 52

Five ideas for review:

6) I am upset because I see what is not there.

7) I see only the past.

8) My mind is preoccupied with past thoughts.

9) I see nothing as it is now.

10) My thoughts do not mean anything.

These five statements continue to guide you away from seeing and thinking as they are commonly experienced. Your current way of seeing and thinking is mostly concerned with interpretations of past events and anxiety and expectations about the future. The more you remain focused on all that, the more they will be part of your experience.

The course is proposing a new way of seeing and thinking, a way that is inspired by love, joy, freedom, peace and the like. Each new moment in time is an opportunity to focus on light and beauty and so forth, inner and outer, and see and think in harmony with them. Then, new and increasingly lighter events and circumstances will flow into your life experience and into the life experience of those you touch. For the outer picture mirrors back to you the inner state of mind.
