“I see nothing as it is now.”
This follows from the previous lessons. Sometimes, when this rubs me the wrong way, I think instead:
“I see nothing as fully as I could.”
I have already learned that everything I see is the past, and most of the thoughts I am thinking are thoughts of the monkey mind that are based on what I think the past was about. None of that seems to form a solid base for living life fully in the present. And so, the thought
“I do not see anything as fully as I could”
indicates an opening. When I say this wholeheartedly I leave an opening for a different way of seeing. That is all that is needed with this lesson.
