ACIM Workbook lesson 9

I see nothing as it is now.”

This follows from the previous lessons. Should rub you the wrong way, you could think instead:

“I see nothing as fully as I could.”

You have already learned that everything you see is the past, and most of the thoughts you are thinking are thoughts of the ego mind that are based on what you think the past was about. None of that seems to form a solid base for living life fully in the present. And so, the thought

“I do not see anything as fully as I could”

indicates an opening. When you say this wholeheartedly you leave an opening for a different way of seeing. That opening is what this lesson is about.

Thank you.
