In “The Power of Now” Eckhart Tolle talks about “the light of your presence”. Please elaborate.
We cannot say this often enough: shining the light of your presence on a given situation is more powerful than any method or instrument could ever be. It is the most effective intervention you can think of. The light of someone’s presence creates an open field that allows an adequate approach to surface. That is more than any strategy can achieve. It requires dedication, faith and a total letting go of a personal agenda. It is like jumping in at the deep end. Anyone can do this. It is a matter of turning on the ‘light switch’ and turning it on again and again, whenever you feel the need. Ultimately, your default setting will be the one where your light is switched on.
The more often you switch on your light, the more you will trust its influence and the more you will feel supported. Get accustomed to call on the light of your presence to guide he way.
We would like to see everyone relying on their inner light much more: shine the light of your presence on any situation you find yourself in. People seem to trust their random thoughts that a situation seems to call forth, thoughts that float by and that have their origin and destination who knows where. There will always be thoughts roaming about. We would like you to focus on the thoughts that well up in the open field that becomes accessible when you focus on your inner light. Those are the thoughts that move mountains. When you need those types of thoughts, ask for them! As often as you like. No subject is off limits. All questions are welcome.
This reminds me of something I once read in the Edgar Cayce readings, namely, that Cayce’s source welcomed all subjects.
