Exchange with the guardians of my Akashic Records:
Earlier (Why a Physical Body) you explained about the function of the human body, and that its finiteness in fact supports our remembering our spiritual nature. Any additional comments are welcome.
Yes, that is well summarized. What would you like to know? What part of the explanation needs further elucidation?
You concluded by stating that simply being mindful and present (aware of the spiritual nature of everything including me) lifts everything into grace. Any further information about this would be welcome.
We can’t stress this enough. Being aware of the stillness, the silence and the spaciousness (as Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche explains), is important. They are always there, but it is your awareness of them, and of yourself as the leavening, that makes the difference in how you experience things. You will leaven the whole. In Luke 13:20, 21, Jesus speaks of the kingdom being yeast; Edgar Cayce used the word leaven or yeast to remind us that we can make a difference).
Earlier we called it double square; it doesn’t matter what you call it. It is about your awareness of the three S’s, namely: Stillness of body, Silence of mind chatter and Spaciousness of being (as explained in Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s “Awakening the Luminous Mind“) and of yourself as the catalyst. Any activity, any situation lends itself to that, there is no preferred activity or preferred circumstance once you are aware. They all qualify.
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) talks about the futility of the myriad ways in which the ego tries to find salvation. ACIM sees the physical body as a means of communication for the holy spirit. That is putting it extremely mildly. Your physical presence and awareness among physical expressions is instrumental. Once you leave your body (what you call death) your unique vantage point and point of release (in two ways) is gone: 1) release in the sense of expressing the vibration initiated in the spiritual realm in the physical, and 2) release in the sense of releasing yourself and others from the hold physicality has on you. You are all in the hold of physicality. You are mesmerized by it.
Physicality is here as part of creation, the farthest point of extension: an idea created in the spirit world, built upon by the mind and given physical form in materiality. That is how all of nature operates. Physicality, however, is not a stand-alone type of thing; it is the end result, always and always in vibration connected to the underlying intention or creative spark on the spiritual level. When physical results seem to clash or seem to not work together in harmony, it is a sign that there are underlying intentions at odds with each other. Focusing on one unifying intention might rectify the resulting physical circumstance. But sometimes that is not enough, as hidden intentions might still be playing out. It is important to have no residue of past experiences cling to you, so as to have a clear and transparent field to start your creation: the natural default setting, or the luminous mind, whatever you want to call it. It is best to work on both: strengthening your spiritual intention by deliberate segment intending (see previous posts), and clearing away excess baggage by focusing on stillness of body, silence of speech and spaciousness of mind, as Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche instructs. When you have arrived at a situation where the default setting is operative, deliberate intending has become superfluous. You can still do it whenever you feel like it, but the default setting will take care of everything without you.
