Exchange with the guardians of my Akashic Records regarding appreciation:
I read the following statement made by Abraham Hicks “Appreciation and self-love are the most important tools that you could ever nurture. Appreciation of others, and the appreciation of yourself is the closest vibrational match to your Source Energy of anything that we’ve ever witnessed anywhere in the Universe.” Please comment on how this pertains to my experience.
In the bible Jesus is recorded to have to have said: “love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34). It is the same thing, put differently. The problem is that people have trouble getting the balance right. They either overdo it in the loving of some else to the point where they become a doormat, or they become so self-centered that they lose sight of other people. And so, yes, appreciation is perhaps a term that you, in this age, will understand better than the word love as used of old. Appreciation puts you in the driver seat and that is where you belong. It is not hard to nurture and practice. It is an ability that will spill over from one area to the next, if only you can start some place, be it nature or objects. Nature is a very accessible portal for many people to start up the appreciation cycle. Be careful to appreciate the intention behind whatever it is you focus your appreciation on, and not the form it happens to find expression in. That is the trap people tend to fall into. You tend to attach to form rather than identify with intention.
In her book “How to Read the Akashic Records” Linda Howe proposes the following question: Please reveal to me how I would benefit from developing an attitude of Gratitude for all things.
Gratitude ties in with appreciation, it is appreciation taken up one notch and therefore slightly less accessible. Work on appreciation and gratitude will come naturally. They both come from and express the divine energy originating in the natural default setting.
Please explain how my personal experience of Gratitude would impact the circumstances of my everyday life.
Your personal experience of appreciation and gratitude would impact the circumstances of your everyday life in that you would become more joyful first. Next, by focusing on appreciation and gratitude you come into a mindset that is on the lookout for things to appreciate and to be grateful for. That mindset thrives on and in the present moment, and thus it will be less likely that you will want to attach to details of past moments, thereby cutting you off from joy.
How does Gratitude support my highest good and the highest good of those I contact?
Your highest good: see above. The highest good of those you contact: while you are in this mindset of appreciation and being grateful for anything that the present moment offers you, you are living from your natural default setting. People living from their natural default setting lift up the field they operate in and that causes their life and the lives of those they touch to be lifted up. It is a state people are naturally drawn to, since they have that setting in them too. They will resonate with it and will want to emulate. You will lift yourself and those around you up by being the hollow reed through which the creative forces may blow and play their music. That vibration is irresistible because it resonates to a pattern dormant in each and every one.
